Today we went skiing on the Titlis.  We also did silly pictures.  The snow was great!  We got to ski with Rolfe.  It was fun!

Yesterday we went to the Tal Museum. In the museum we got to go in one of the old time bobsleds.

My great grandfather, Kobi, skiing from Titlis.
We found old pictures of our family.  My great grandfather was an athlete.  My family lived in Engelberg for many generations.

Omi, we did walk across the wooden bridge.

Dad, my favorite part in Luzern was a very fancy chocolate shop with special homemade chocolates.

We skied with coach Rolf.  It was very fun.  He said, "We can have dessert at the meringue turn."  We cooked our own meat fondue.  From the gondola we can see our house.

The weather is so-so today.  We skied, but it was really hard to see.  It snowed at the end of the day.

It is really nice here.  I am having as much fun as you would.  I love to go up on the Titlis in the ice cave and want to go again to take funny dress up pictures.

Hi,

Be home the 13th.

The money is Swiss Francs.  There is CHF188.85 in the photo.

I have had a lot of fun with Eva.

Sorry girls we are not able to reply to the "comments," because "reply" button is not working.

Thank you, the swings are super small.  It is kind of cool, because we wait for a bus to take us to the ski station and play at the playground in the park.

We rode the train.  We went to Luzern.

This is old part of Luzern town that is by the lake. It was a pretty gray day.

We went on the old wooden bridge that burned.  The bridge had a torture chamber in the octagonal water tower.  The bridge was built in 1333.  It is the oldest wooden, covered bridge in Europe.

The lion is a reminder of the Swiss Guards who won't be forgotten. On top it says, "To the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss" (HELVETIORUM FIDEI AC VIRTUTI).

No rock climbing.  They have outdoor options in the summer, but we don't have time to do indoor option now.  There is a climbing gym in the Sport Center.

Yes, we are downhill skiing a lot, except today and yesterday we tried, but the it was too windy and closed.

The fire torches were not hot, but really fun and special.  We wanted to do it again, but our friend said no, it was something to experience and remember for this time in our life.

The restaurant with the barn we went into for fondue was Restaurant Fluhmatt.

We were not told any names for the lambs by the farmer.  Maybe they have not named them yet.

The lambs were really dirty, soft, and fluffy.

We think there were around 18 sheep and lambs.

Parker, wants to bring everyone a little piece of wrapped chocolate to take home from school.  Is it possible?

We got all ready to go skiing.  It was too windy so they closed the mountain!  We went back home and we took all our stuff off.  So we did homework for ten hours (not really- caryn)!  After homework we walked around and ate dinner.

When we cannot ski we are silly.

We ate fondue with Marcel and Martina.  At night it was super dark and we used fire torches to walk down.

We play in the park before skiing. There is a real old hotel on the left and our brown house all the way on the right. I live in a attic. Here is what is has; two chairs, a bathroom, a bed, a couch, a kitchen, a chest, and a view of the Titlis. We have radios to talk on.

It is fun skiing in Switzerland.  This day we go up on the Titlis.

First we played in the playground.  Then I went to the Titlis.  I felt scared on the Titlis bridge, but it was fun.  I could see a long way.  Next we went into the ice cave.  Last we skied all the way down.

Picture
In the glacier cave there were funny spots carved out with cartoon sculptures.
Picture
The glacier on the mountain has melted a lot and receded almost all the way up to the top of the mountain quite a few thousand feet. The ice cave inside the mountain does not seem to ever melt, but gets longer each time we visit.

Swiss money is different.  We had a lesson about Swiss Francs.  There is braille on the bills and some coins that are worth five, two, and one Francs.
